as we gather the Inaugural Dean Mariano Pangan Lecture,
let our minds be like molecules, ever curious and dynamic,
seeking bonds of understanding and insights that transcend.
Grant us the clarity of elements in their purest form,
to discern the complexities of our shared world,
and to unravel mysteries with the precision of a chemical reaction.
May our endeavors be catalysts for innovation,
igniting ideas that transform the landscape of our fields,
guided by principles that uphold truth and integrity.
Just as elements combine to form compounds of limitless potential, may our collaboration yield compounds of progress and prosperity, benefitting all who inhabit this vast laboratory of existence.
We are about to embark on this journey of exploration as inspired by Dean Mariano Pangan of happy memories,
may we honor the beauty and balance of nature,
and steward our knowledge with wisdom and humility.
