Easter Joy: Regent's Easter Message 2021

At the moment of the death of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the large veil in the temple, the very thing that represented centuries of physical separation from God, was torn in two from the top down (cf. Mt 25:51), showing that this era of separation was over. With His own blood, not the blood of animal sacrifices, the Lord entered the ‘Holy of Holies’ once and for all and secured our Redemption forever because of His Love.

The Resurrection of the Lord is the crowning truth of our faith. Pope St. John Paul II said: “We are an Easter People and Alleluia is our song!” We are not searching for a shallow joy but rather a joy that comes from faith, that grows through love, without which it would be unbecoming to speak of the Easter Joy.

The Lord is Risen, Alleluia!
Happy Easter, UST College of Science!
